Welcome to my website, Irene Walker... a passion for painting.

Based in Ayrshire, Scotland, I am an artist that likes to bring my own interpretation to my paintings whether painting my local landscape, flowers from my garden, memories of lovely places visited, a moment in time or just something abstract.

My Gallery consists of six collections; French Landscapes, Italian Landscapes, Scottish Landscapes, Spanish Landscapes, Flowers and Still Life.

Mostly I love experimenting with colour, and texture, and I never tire of experimenting with paint effects in oil.

I appreciate the power of nature in the world around me, and enjoy simple things like changing skies, the effects the sun has on the surrounding landscape and nature and try to capture the essence of this in my work.
